Awakening

… bang! bang! bang! Went the knock on my door, everyone was fast asleep and I was jerked out of sleep. “Who in God’s name was knocking at this ungodly hour?” I thought. I was well minded to ignore the knock, so I pulled my blanket over my head and closed my eyes tightly, nobody was jerking me out of my sleep! However the knock persisted so I half opened one of my eyes to check my watch, and it was not an ungodly hour afterall, it was very much a godly hour – 8am. I made the appointment for my cleaner to come in.
